Surat Sunday: Every year the third Sunday of the month of November is organized as the World Day of Remembrance for Roadn Traffic Victim’s. In this regard, Mr. Brijesh Verma, President of District Traffic Education and Welfare Society, observed two minutes of silence for the 612 dead who died in road accidents in the city-district. Tributes were paid by lighting candles in the presence of the families of the deceased. સુરતઃરવિવાર: દર વર્ષે વિશ્વભરમાં નવેમ્બર મહિનાના ત્રીજો રવિવાર વિશ્વ અકસ્માત સંભારણા દિવસ (World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victim’s) તરીકે આયોજન થાય છે. જે સંદર્ભે ડિસ્ટ્રીકટ ટ્રાફિક એજ્યુકેશન એન્ડ વેલ્ફેર સોસાયટીના પ્રમુખ શ્રી બ્રિજેશ વર્મા દ્વારા શહેર-જિલ્લામાં રોડ અકસ્માતથી મૃત્યુ પામેલા ૬૧૨ મૃતકોમાટે બે મિનિટનું મૌન પાળવામાં આવ્યું હતું. મૃતકોના પરિવારજનોની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં મીણબત્તી પ્રગટાવીને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપવામાં આવી હતી. વાહન અકસ્માતમાં મળતી સહાય અને જિલ્લા કાનૂની સેવા સત્તા મંડળ દ્વારા તૈયાર કરાયેલી અકસ્માત વળતર અંગેની પત્રિકા આપી સમજૂતી આપવામાં આવી હતી.
