This is the 5th Annual Minnesota Recognition of World Day of Remembrance for Victims of Road Traffic. Speakers will talk about the importance of road safety and potential future legislation. We will “light” small battery-powered candles, one to represent each victim of traffic violence in 2024. We will also bring pairs of shoes to represent the number of individuals who are likely to die from traffic violence between the event date and the end of the year. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photograph of loved killed by traffic violence. Program begins at 12:00 (noon).
