TOCSS Foundation International USA hosts the 2026 REMEMBER SCHOOL ZONE event in Houston Texas , to commemorate the 2026 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This year theme is “School Zone Road Safety Audit” . This year’s theme seeks to engage Stakeholders and Major Players in the United States of America Road Safety Management and Transportation Improvement Programs on School Zone Safety . The goal of the meeting event is to achieve Safer School Zones in the United States . The TOCSS School Zone Safety project objective is to partner with the local governments on achieving safer school zones within the multimodal program of transportation infrastructure and service improvements agenda within randomly selected regions ; and treating the high risk school zones .

The TOCSS School Zone Safety project is an evidence-based solution to treat school zone’ road traffic injuries and deaths involving children and other vulnerable road users.; within school zones in the state of Texas.
Research shows that lack of some key road safety infrastructure is one of the major causes of the school zone injuries and deaths within the region.
