  • March

In observance of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the “Candle Lit and Youth March” will be held on 17 November from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm along Manik Mia Avenue, in front of the National Parliament. The event will feature a youth march from the National Parliament to Khamarbari, where Youth participants will gather in solidarity to remember lives lost and advocate for safer roads. This solemn gathering unites youth, and particular stakeholders in a tribute to the lives lost, ending with a moment of silence. Personal stories will be shared to underscore the deep impact of these tragic incidents and the urgent need for road safety laws to prevent further loss of life from road crushes.

Participants will have the opportunity to sign a pledge wall and affirm their commitment to safer roads. A dedicated social media campaign will support the event, amplifying its message to mass people. Through these combined efforts, the march emphasizes the necessity of strong legal action to reduce fatalities and promotes the implementation of laws to create safer roads for all.
