With awareness and respect for road victims, we will, for the twelfth consecutive year, mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims with a tribute at the Central Monument to Traffic Accident Victims at Ljubljana’s Žale Cemetery, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11 a.m.
The gathered will be addressed by:
Keynote speaker, Mag. Andrej Rajh, State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure;
Representative of the General Police Directorate;
Marko Mušič, architect and academic of SAZU, designer of the monument;
Robert Štaba, president of the Safe Journey Institute and president of the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims.
Religious leaders will also address us:
Former Bishop Geza Filo, Evangelical Church AC in RS;
Imam Adnan Merdanović, Islamic Community in RS;
Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Msgr. Stanislav Zore, Catholic Church in Slovenia.
