The Delaware Public Health District coordinates a Safe Communities Coalition, that has provided a display of wreaths to remember the victims of those lost to traffic crashes in Delaware County, Ohio. The SAFE Delaware County Coalition began this tradition in November 2012. The coalition is funded by the Ohio Traffic Safety Office to help reduce traffic fatalities in our count. The coalition has held this each November without realizing that a World Day of Remembrance was the Sunday before. This year we are moving the date up one week to bring attention to this as part of a world wide effort to inform people of the importance of driving safety.
