Joining global actions for a safer and more humane mobility, on November 20th, Fundação Thiago Gonzaga is set to launch a memorial at Thiago Gonzaga Youth Square (Praça da Juventude Thiago Gonzaga). The activity is part of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims agenda. Thiago Gonzaga Youth Square is a milestone in the fight against road violence. It is the first memorial in Brazil and one of the first of its kind in Latin America. The Square serves as an alert to the records of over 35,000 lives lost and approximately 350,000 people injured in Brazil every year and as a tribute to the victims and their families. The memorial gathers over 450 names, giving meaning to the traffic cold numbers.
