The event will be held as part of a broader, multi-partner scholar pedestrian safety project called the Walking Safely to School project being implemented at 10 schools in Mamelodi. The event will start with a 2-hour church service. The church service will be divided into two segments, the first hour being a normal church service and the second segment dedicated to #WDoR2024 including a candle-lighting ceremony in remembrance of road crash victims. The church service will then be followed by a procession to one of the busy intersections in Mamelodi where a traffic scene simulation will be enacted.
