This year’s event will feature a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Program, including a live motor vehicle accident simulation and mock scenes.
We are honored to host the 2025 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDOR), a day dedicated to raising awareness about road safety and remembering those who have lost their lives on our roads. This year’s event will feature a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Program, including a live motor vehicle accident simulation and mock scenes where various role players will demonstrate their critical functions. These include hijack prevention strategies, K9 and Mounted Units, Forensic Services, Correctional Services, Fire Department, EMS, Traffic Department, SAPS, Metro Police, Disaster Management, the Judicial System and other. The day also features static displays of emergency services, businesses, local artist and a motorcade that will travel through identified high-accident streets, raising awareness enroute to the event venue at Linkside High School.
