COMMEMORATION OF WORLD DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR ROAD TRAFFIC VICTIMS IN UGANDA-21 NOVEMBER, 2021
Introduction:
Foundation for Private Sector Drivers Initiative Uganda (FPSDI) coordinated the commemoration in Uganda on November 17, 2019 and in the same vain is mobilizing stakeholders to participate in the 2021 activities on Sunday 21 November, to join the rest of the world in the remembrance of road traffic victims in our country. The purpose of this commemoration is to bring to national attention the devastating impact of road deaths and injuries on families and a call to action on the Government of Uganda to operationalize the currently redundant National Road safety strategy with amendments, to effectively support people affected by road traffic crashes.
Under the Theme: WE DON’T WANT MORE VICTIMS TO REMEMBER, WE WANT TO LIVE OUR LIVES TOGETHER. (Remembering those killed on Uganda roads, calling for support to those affected and demanding for actions from related stakeholders); This year 2021, the Chief Guest shall be The Katikkiro of Buganda Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga and other distinguished guests as attached on this document.
FPSDI is currently locally mobilizing for partners for joint partnership for achieving a successful event to commemorate the above.
