This year Arrive Alive will host the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in keeping with the United Nation’s theme Remember, Support, Act. Due to pandemic restrictions, we will be hosting the event virtually on Sunday 15th November 2020 at 2.00pm using the social media platforms Zoom, Instagram and Facebook.
The three-tiered approach:-
REMEMBER: During the week leading up to WDoR 2020, we will share digitally a series of vignettes where families of victims will share their experiences. They will share the tragedy of losing their loved ones as well as happy times spent.
SUPPORT: Appreciation is key. We will use branded statements from individuals and companies who have continued to support Arrive Alive. They will comment on what taking part in WDR means to them as they partner with us.
ACT: The event will start at 2:00pm and will feature addresses by the President of Arrive Alive: Sharon Inglefield, Our main sponsor of Arrive Alive, BHP Trinidad & Tobago, The Minister of the Ministry of Works and Transport, The Honourable Rohan Sinanan and The Commissioner of The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Gary Griffith. Local celebrity influencer, who supports the cause of road safety, will share his experience as he rallies the viewers to change behaviour and attitudes to make travelling on our roads safer. The event will close with his performance Kes Dieffenthaller.
