In honor of the World Day of Remembrance 2022, rider alliances will gather on the 20 November for motorcycle parades and candle lightings to promote safer roads in the Philippines.
Diverse locations will be used as starting points:
The documentary “Navio da Despedida” by Rosangela Brandão de Souza has been nominated for an international film festival, and it is available for free viewing. It faces death, loss and grievance in a human way, making a step towards our acceptance of the dreaded phenomenon.

“Time for Remembering is an occasion to come together to commemorate loved ones lost and injured on our roads and pay tribute to all who work tirelessly to make our roads safer”.
The ceremony will be held a the Queen’s Hall at the Parliament House on the 20 November, but also livestreamed through Zoom.

With the easing of pandemic measures, Singapore’s Brze hopes to expand this year’s WDoR event: ‘an opportunity presents itself for us to scale up and bring this message to a wider group of government agencies, and stakeholders and involve the public’
After a social media awareness campaign, an outdoor event will be held on the 20 November in Singapore to remember victims; acknowledge emergency service work; advocate for a serious response to culpable road deaths; advocate for support for road traffic victims and their families; and promote actions which will prevent and reduce road traffic accidents.
The UPDN (Uganda’s Professional Driver’s Network) is working with many road safety organizations to remember lives lost in road crashes and to promote traffic law enforcement.
‘This year 2022, the commemoration shall focus on Justice’.
The goal is to ‘gain momentum for a full week’ through preliminary TV/radio/social media campaigns, a visit to the emergency ward of Mulago Hospital and a symbolic display of shoes to represent victims.
In honour of Road Safety week (14 to 20 November 2022), the Mica Prahova Industry will be using social media platforms – the ‘Drumul in siguranta’ weblog and Facebook page – to bring awareness to road safety issues, public and driving duties, as well as to commemorate lives lost on the road: “Thus, World Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims will be commemorated through online posts.”

The Intercontinental Road Safety Probe Confederation is organizing a Road Safety Pledge to offer to students and athletes at the K.D. Sing Babu Stadium. St. Patrick’s Church of Ballyshannon has included, in the program for their mass of Saturday 19th November, a commemoration for lives lost on Irish roads. Candles will be lit and brought to the altar for every victim that the church is informed to commemorate. Blessings will also be given to cars and for Emergency Service workers.

The Transport and Road Safety Foundation NGO of Pakistan is organizing events in different locations for the entire week from 13 to 20 November. These include safety awareness campaigns, walks, biker gatherings, school and college lectures and more.
